Creative Simcoe Street Christmas 

December 9, 11 to 3pm 

The artist, galleries and restaurants are opening our doors on December 9th to invite the community to the Creative Simcoe Street Christmas event. This holiday shop and support this amazing community of local artist that work and create a long Simcoe Street in Collingwood.

Blue Mountain Foundation for the Arts shop & gallery, featuring fine crafts and gifts. Opening reception for the Winter’s Gift Exhibit showcasing 13 BMFA member artists from 1pm to 3pm at 65 Simcoe.

Fleetwood Dance Studio, From 1:00-3:00, Open Studio

Dances will include rehearsals for Christmas Living Windows (Mini Nutcracker ballets) and classical ballet and competition pieces.

Christmas decorations featured in the hallway of 65 Simcoe Street this holiday will be created by local children from Magic of Children in the Arts. Christmas decoration workshop takes place November 18th at the Collingwood Library. 

Creative Simcoe Street is an arts and entertainment district in downtown Collingwood.  The area is home to over 30 independent and artistic businesses – including 18 artists’ studios, a black box theatre, a dance studio, an art supply store and arts school, an arts foundation, fine crafts and gifts, several galleries and hip indie restaurants. Located one block east of Hurontario St. in Collingwood, Ontario   

The Blue Mountain Foundation for the Arts (BMFA) is a charitable organization dedicated to promoting excellence in the arts through creative and education opportunities for artists in Southern Georgian Bay Region. Founded 47 years ago, the BMFA promotes the work of 200 members through 30 annual community events, workshops, art talks, and art shop/ gallery in Collingwood.
