Hand Built Pottery Workshop

Join Marion Bartlett, a career sculptor and gifted teacher, at her creative, entertaining and informative hand built pottery workshop. Participants use fundamental techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab building to shape clay into unique functional or decorative items such as mugs or bowls, followed by professional kiln firing and glazing
Each piece created by Marion’s students is uniquely individual – Marion encourages personal expression and the final results will reflect the participants’ interests and the intended function of the pottery.
Each of the sculptures created will require some time to dry before being fired at Marion’s Singhampton Studio. The sculptures will be returned to BMFA for pick up approximately 1 month after the workshop. After the sculptures are fired, they can be painted, stained or left plain, or incorporated into another artwork.
The cost of the workshop includes all materials, tools and firing.
Marion Bartlett shares studio/gallery space with her husband, woodworker Richard Bino at their property, Singhampton Sculpture Forest outside of Collingwood.
