The BMFA is hiring a Creative Coordinator


Are you looking for an opportunity to leave your mark on your local art community? Are you someone who loves collaboration and art curation? Then we need you! We support the enrichment and development of the arts of South Georgian Bay by inspiring excellence through educational and creative opportunities and we are seeking out a creative individual to help us on our mission of uplifting and supporting our art community.

If you have an arts related background, experience in art curation, and/or arts programming knowledge, you may be drawn to this position to help steward, coordinate, and communicate the ongoing efforts of the BMFA. 

As the self-starter that you are, you will work with our fantastic BMFA volunteers, be enthusiastic about collaborating with other amazing organizations, assist with engaging fundraising events and help bring all of this to the spotlight with your savvy social media skills. Here are some Technical skills you are going to need for this role:

Superior social media skills (especially Instagram)
Working knowledge of Google drive
Excel spreadsheets
Photo apps
Word Press basic skills helpful
Mail Chimp
Basic skills with graphics 

Soft skills that are important to our organization:
Team builder
Arts ambassador
Open minded, encouraging of diversity
Good oral and written communication skills
Good organizational skills

Team member on BMFA signature programs, collaborative exhibits, Art About Town, fundraising events, Simcoe Street Arts Market
Arrange occasional workshops and art talks
Day to day social media content deployment

This is a part time position 20 to 25 hours per week with some flexibility on days/hours.
