Amita Maru is a local artist specializing in jewelry and beading. Amita learned how to make henna designs from her mother and grandmother when she was a teenager in Tanzania, and went on to create henna designs for wedding and social events.

Henna is a plant based, non-toxic and temporary dye made by combining powdered leaves with liquid ingredients.
