Have fun and learn! Explore the world of gel plate transfers with Joanne Lomas, a talented artist and experienced teacher. You will learn how to transfer an image from a laser copy or magazine page to a gel plate plate, then transfer the image from the gel plate to the paper stock. The resulting image is a springboard for your imagination: you may add additional layers of paint or you may choose to incorporate the image into a collage or a journal. In one afternoon you learn process and technique, but you also will experiment and play. Previous experience with gel plate printmaking is recommended.
All materials are provided, but participants also are welcome to bring their own high quality magazine images.
