This is an exciting year to be part of our creative volunteer community. Be part of the action as we continue celebrating our 50th anniversary and transition to a 100% volunteer-run organization. We’ve all heard that “it takes a village to raise a child”. BMFA thrives because our volunteers are actively involved in our community. Just a few hours of your time can make a big difference in our ability to create and deliver engaging programs for our membership.
Today, we invite you to step forward and volunteer for the many varied positions we offer—roles where your unique talents, energy, and imagination can make a profound impact. Learn and grow, connect with other artists who share your interests and help us shape the future. By stepping up and volunteering, you’re not only helping BMFA—you’re enriching your own life and promoting Art in our community.
Think you don’t have the time? Whether you can offer an hour a week or dive in with more hours, your contribution is valued and needed. Over the next year, our calendar is bursting with events. No matter your background or skillset, there is a role that’s just right for you.
We are currently looking for volunteers who can provide assistance in the following areas:
Social Media – create engaging content and post on Instagram/ Facebook
Graphic Design – to create graphics for our posters and events
Web support – manage the coding, design and content of the BMFA website
Fundraising – help with grant writing, research and outreach
Event Support – lend a hand at exhibitions, workshops, artists talks and community events
Gallery and shop assistants – welcome visitors, assist with sales and keep our space engaging.
If any of these jobs match your abilities and interest – email Donna Brazelton at [email protected] for more information.
