Marion Plaunt

Marion Plaunt – Nature Reflected

Marion is an emerging Canadian photographic artist who has transferred her passion for the natural environment -- implemented through her lengthy planning career as an Environmental/Land Use Planner -- to the visual arts. She aims to evoke through her art an appreciation of the value the natural environment plays in enriching our lives.

Marion has combined her lifelong interest in photography and her respect for the natural environment by creating photographic art using a visual vocabulary that asks the viewer to observe the beauty of nature in unexpected ways.

“I love to share the intricate details created by nature and to celebrate their beauty through my art. The unique splendor of nature can be discovered in many places – when we take the time to look.”

In 2018-2019 Marion has shown at Headwaters Arts at the Alton Mill Arts Centre in Caledon in the following shows: “Shift”, “Vital Signs”, “Turning Up the Heat”, “Sounds of Silence” and “Splendor in the Hills”. Marion’s works placed 3rd at the juried Collingwood Arts and Music Festival in June 2019. She was also one of forty Ontario artists selected to show her work in the 4th annual juried “Art-in-the-Park Art Show and Sale” at Ontario’s Country Heritage Park in Milton in August 2019.

Marion is a member of the Blue Mountains Foundation for the Arts in Collingwood and Headwaters Arts in Caledon.
