Water and local landscapes are recurring motifs in my watercolours. I use many glazes to build texture and depth of colour. Initial broad brushstrokes taper to tiny. Every inch of the paper surface is worked repeatedly. The painting process is slow, requiring a critical eye, mental focus and discipline. However the results are worth it. I am a member of the Ontario Society of Artists and the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour and I live and paint in my Craigleith home.
