COLLINGWOOD ARTS & MUSIC FESTIVAL (CAMF)
RULES AND REGULATIONS 2018

PRIORITY NOTICE: by order of Fire Chief– HIGH FIRE HAZARD.
ABSOLUTELY NO TENT TOPS OR SIDES ARE ALLOWED INSIDE THE EDDIE BUSH ARENA

  1. Items allowed for setting up your site: tent frames, any type of wood for displaying art, re: lattice, wood frames, peg board etc, any type of iron, metal grids, screening, plastic mesh, tempered glass.
     
  2. Applicants may pay (BMFA members’ rate or non-members’ rate) or apply for BMFA membership on website.
     
  3. Applicants will be juried. Please submit two photos of your artwork and a 50 word bio for review.
     
  4. Your display and artwork will be juried during event by several judges each of whom will fill out a scoring sheet. Scores will be totaled to determine award winners. Judging is based on: technique, originality, composition & presentation: Score 1-5. Awards Ceremony to take place at 3:30pm Sunday August 5, 2018 for Adult & Youth.
     
  5. First place winner receives free entry into following year. He/she is not eligible to be included in the judging for that year.
     
  6. Artists may pay for two or more 10’x10’sites providing any are available. May share a site at no extra charge for 2018, subject to change.
     
  7. One 8’ table and 1 chair per site will be supplied PROVIDING THEY ARE NEEDED. Please help us by emailing gygibson@rogers.com if they ARE NOT NEEDED. You will be expected to help set up and take down your table and chair with a volunteer. WE DO NOT have enough tables and chairs for all vendors plus CAMF sites re Info, childrens’ site, Art Demo etc.. 2019 will revert to a $5 charge per table requested.
     
  8. Artists must commit to attendance on both days and be set up 15 minutes prior to opening.
     
  9. NO ARTIST may pack up and leave early.
     
  10. There will be no commission charges levied at this event.
     
  11. All items must be original artwork or craft created and designed by the vendor. Any photos used in artwork should be taken by the artist OR CREDIT MUST BE GIVEN TO PHOTOGRAPHER.
     
  12. NO MANUFACTURED ITEMS WILL BE ALLOWED and will be REMOVED IMMEDIATELY.
     
  13. Any reproductions must be numbered except for art cards/greeting cards of your own artwork.
     
  14. No refund will be given for cancellations made after July 1, 2018 unless there is a waiting list and a waiting vendor to come into the event.
     
  15. Bookmarks will be produced for promotion purposes using poster and logo and the back will include other events for BMFA coming up. Contact info,, Vendors’ names and mediums, website etc. will be listed on the CAMF ONLINE ART GALLERY. www.bmfa.on.ca website.” It is the responsibility of each vendor to submit their photos for the Online Art Gallery to john.kerr01@sympatico.ca Public Access WIFI is available on the Arena Floor.
     
  16. Artists are responsible for their own sales, collection of applicable taxes and insurance.
     
  17. Artists may set up in the Eddie Bush Arena: Friday, 12pm through 7pm; Saturday, 7am-8am being ready to open by 8:45am.
     
  18. Arena will be locked after closing each day. Site Manager will clear area and make sure all doors are locked and secured at a time to be determined. It is the Artists' responsibility to carry insurance and to ensure their artwork is secure.
     
  19. 2018 is the First Year for CAMF to be held at Eddie Bush Arena. We have decided to keep entry fee low and offer a special price for 2018 (($55 For a BMFA Member and $75 for a Non- member). EXPECT 2019 ENTRY FEES TO RISE.
     
  20. We have invested in some large CURBEX SIGNS to welcome visitors and direct them to the Eddie Bush Arena Downtown as well as our normal signage. Photos of the Curbex Sign and poster will be attached to this email to each vendor. Please forward these on with a special invitation to your contacts.
     
  21. Bookmarks will be available at the BMFA new location, 65 Simcoe St Unit #4 for pick-up and distribution by Mid July.
     
  22. Downtown Collingwood BIA will print and provide 8x10 posters. If you wish to pick up any posters for out of Town distribution contact Yvonne gygibson@rogers.com They will be located at BMFA, 65 Simcoe St Unit #4, Collingwood.
     
  23. A 50/50 donation for Silent Auction will be held at CAMF. Please drop off your artwork at Info Site. If possible contact Yvonne with minimum bid and 50/50 or donation.
     
  24. Music will be provided by local and emerging Musicians and the Jim Kinnear Trio. An honorarium will be provided to cover expenses. Interested Musicians are asked to contact jim@jimkinnear.com to apply for inclusion.
     
  25. The Town of Collingwood, Downtown Collingwood BIA, Blue Mountain Foundation for the Arts, Collingwood Arts & Music Festival or any workers or volunteers involved in CAMF are not responsible for any injury to yourself or damage to your artwork that might occur.
